Basic features of a typical DSL excitation control system:
  • three-phase 3x400 V, 3x500 V, 3x660 V supply from IT
  • automatic adjustment of excitation current using AC/DC drive – Mentor II / Mentor MP
  • serial interface as standardserial interface as standard
  • Coperation in an ambient temperature of -30 °C
  • cos φ control in 6 kV circuit (range 0-1.00)
  • inductive power monitoring
  • capacitive power monitoring
  • setting the real value of field current for synchronous motor (range 0-999 A)
  • setting the real value of motor current in 6 kV circuit
  • forcing function at 6 kV voltage drop
  • SCJ breaker control on 6 kV side
  • setting the minimum permissible field current (setting range 0-999.9 A
  • setting the maximum working time of a synchronous motor during normal operation in the case of excitation current drop below the set minimum value (setting range 0-99.9 seconds)
  • setting the minimum mains voltage to 6 kV (setting range 0-9999 V)
  • setting the maximum current on 6 kV side, resulting in a loss of synchronism (setting range 0-999.9 A)
  • setting the maximum working time of a synchronous motor during normal operation in the case of voltage drop below the set minimum value in 6 kV network (setting range 0-99.9 seconds)
