Standard DSL drive cabinet consists of a case with built-in DC drive, fuse switch, line choke, and control and distribution equipment.

DSL drive cabinets are used for the regulation and stabilisation of rotation speed in DC motors, and in particular for:

• paper, sheet, and film wining and undwinding systems
• thyristor exciters of synchronous motors
• boring machines, lathes, milling machines, spindles and feeds of machine tools
• roller tables in mills
• plate mills and profile shaping machines
• rubber mixers
• engine test beds
