Features and application
MV cable connections in externally-operated concrete casing can work with MV cable network in ring and radial arrangement.
The connection is designed as free-standing unit to be placed at locations most suitable for recipients.
The casing is made as a reinforced concrete prefabricate, optionally developed as two transport elements: the foundation with a body and a roof, or one element constituting a uniform system of walls, roof, and foundation.
The main element of the connection is 3-, 4-, or 5-bay MV switchgear with SF6 or vacuum insulation, placed inside the casing. The switchgear is operated from the outside, after opening the aluminium door.
