Features and application
Casing of APA 50 circuit breaker is made of sheet steel in the form of a cuboidal frame with holes for mounting IZM circuit breaker, castors, and pins cooperating with the sliding mechanism located in the switchgear structure.
Upper and lower connections bolted to the standard connector of air circuit breaker allow to install plug-in terminals (from APU 50 circuit breaker) – coaxially to fixed contacts located in the switchgear.
APA50 circuit breaker in withdrawable version is used to connect operating currents and protect LV electrical circuits against the effects of overloads and short circuits.
Extensive additional equipment allows to use these circuit breakers in systems requiring:
- remote control
- signalling and other electric devices
It replaces withdrawable APU 50 circuit breaker. Due to the use of a frame for APU 50 circuit breaker, the replacement is quick, safe and does nor require modifications of the switchgear.
