Features and application
SZR-APC automation module is designed on the basis of DELTA programmable relay with expansion module and, depending on the configuration, the second programmable unit.
As an option, the SZR-APC system is connected to the operator panel.
Apator Control’s SZR-APC is a power-system automation unit used to switch power supply from reserve or emergency power track after a power failure of basic power track. A reserve source can be another power grid, while an emergency source can be generator set.
The ATS system ensures:
- automatic switching of power supply between the primary source (power supply unit) and the reserve source, e.g. electric power generator
- the ability to adjust the response time delay of ATS to the loss and restoration of power to the ATS operation time of the main switchgears and to the protection time settings.
- automatic generator start-up
- automatic switching back to the basic power supply and stopping the electric power generator after a preset overrun time
- mutual double electric and program interlocks as well as possible mechanical interlocks of actuators before activating the sources for parallel operation
- manual local control of actuators
- local and/or remote (emergency) fire protection deactivation of sources using the ‘main power switch’
- optical signalling of the presence of the correct source voltages, position (open/closed) of the main contacts of switches, (emergency) fire protection deactivation, and the correct operation of ATS automation
- control of circuit breakers’ tripping
- control of the correct position of actuating contacts

Options
In addition to the standard configurations of ATS systems, we offer systems tailored to the client’s needs for up to five actuators. The innovativeness of ATS systems manufactured by Apator Control lies in the possibility of connecting it to actuators manufactured by, among others, EATON ELECTRIC (IZM, NZM); SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC (NW, NT, NS); OEZ (WL, BL, BH, BD), and other after prior consultation with the client. Our devices are produced for the specific switching circuit. If the diagram is changed, our service staff uploads a new program to the logical unit without the need to change the connections. Also, upon request, we introduce additional operational features of the ATS system, such as: parallel operation of transformers (only conscious activation by the user after meeting requirements for parallel operation) or e.g. selection of a quick reduction of power for some receivers when the power is supplied from reserve source.
